Profile: Michael Whelan - President

With more than 35 years in the healthcare industry, Mike Whelan is a seasoned professional with significant experience including: customer service, marketing, office design, accounts receivable collection, sales and executive management and consulting. From 2001-2006, as the East Coast Regional Manager for Henry Schein Financial Services, Mike consulted with healthcare practices in new practice set-ups, practice acquisitions and new equipment purchases.

In 2006, Mike moved into an executive management position with Citibank as the Vice President of ChoiceHealth Leasing, a private label finance program with Henry Schein Financial Services. The program specialized in financing opportunities for healthcare practices to help them grow their business opportunities.

Mike recognized a growing concern for a better practice process for accounts receivable collections. Many practices fail to collect past-due debts for a variety of reasons, thus losing professional time, patients and money. In 2010 Mike decided to start AR Practice Consulting, LLC. ARPC is a proven and worthy alternative to traditional “collection companies” and has helped numerous offices increase their recovery rates and improve customer/practice relations while increasing practice profits.

In a difficult economy, every business deserves to be paid for their services on a timely basis. A healthcare practice is professional, licensed and has a high monthly overhead to satisfy. A practice with an inefficient internal collection process will create serious cash flow problems for the practice. Contact AR Practice Consulting to find out how we can help make sure you get paid for the work you do.
